Verizon's One Desktop Command Center

|

Verizon has partnered with OpenPeak to offer the next generation Verizon One Desktop Command Center.

From a single screen, users can access e-mail, voicemail, personal calendars, address books, news, weather, traffic information, movie listings, leave memos for family members and oh yes, make phone calls. Read the January 8th, 2007 Press Release.

The product will be released sometime this spring. Verizon's John Wimsatt is quoted as saying "It goes beyond reducing the clutter of multiple communications devices to providing a robust, multi-media digital communications solution only available to Verizon's FiOS Internet customers."

Wonderful. It does some of the things your computer, laptop or stereo does except not as well as any of them. I predict it will be a big flop.
